The distribution box helps to maximize the life of your septic system. The effluent leaves the septic tank and travels through the inlet pipe to the distribution box. The wastewater is dispersed from the distribution box through the outlet pipe that leads to the drainfield.

When installed, your distribution box must be level so that the effluent is evenly dispersed. Otherwise, distribution pipes become overloaded, which may cause the system to fail.

In Milton, GA, Action Septic Tank Service performed work on this overfilled tank.

Prior to service, the pump stopped working and the tank was stopped up. We found that the pump had been unplugged and was also improperly put together. This caused the water to build up inside the tank and led to a septic backup.

To fix, we pumped the water out to a normal level. We also repaired the faulty pump to get the system going again.
