To fix, we performed a crossover. We connected the broken drainfield line to a good line so that all pipes were correctly flowing.

This residential septic repair included cleaning out the failing drainfield. Part of the line was blocked with waste and another part was crushed further down. After cleaning, you can see the water flowing again. Then, we performed a crossover to tie back the damaged section of line into good dry line. Post repair, the drainfield was properly working.

In Alpharetta, GA, Action Septic Tank Service replaced a septic line and outlet baffle. See the attached photos.

The existing concrete line from the tank to the drainfield was old and completely broken down. We replaced the line going out with PVC. PVC material is strong, extremely durable and lightweight. We also added a new outlet baffle to help direct the flow of effluent and to keep the solids from entering and clogging the drainfield.

Broken and crushed septic lines can cause backups and septic failure. When this occurs, you will see and smell sewage in and around your home or business.

Prior to this repair, the mainline was incorrectly placed in the ground. It was going uphill at the bend before it entered the septic tank. This caused the system to backup into the home.

To fix, we replaced the pipe. We also added septic risers to all four openings and replaced three of the septic lids.

To service and repair this tank in Roswell, Action Septic Tank Service needed to excavate. The tank was approximately 4-feet deep in the ground as shown in the attached video.

After excavating, we pumped the tank and installed access risers. Since risers bring the septic tank up to ground level, adding them will eliminate the need to dig up the yard for future service.
Riser lids are safe, extremely durable, lightweight, watertight, and won’t skid or corrode. They are available in standard and customs sizes and have accessories to fit new and existing tanks. To blend in with landscaping, the lids are flat, available in green and brown, and also come in custom colors.

Installing risers makes it easy to locate the septic tank and allows access for maintenance and repair without having to dig up the yard. They are cost effective, won’t deteriorate and rot over time and are easier to install. PVC risers have lightweight fiberglass lids that cannot be removed without proper equipment.

In Alpharetta, GA, Action Septic Tank Service located and repaired this septic system that was found underneath a concrete sidewalk. See the attached photos.

Prior to servicing the system, we excavated and removed the concrete overtop the septic tank. Then, we pumped the tank, replaced the main line and cleaned the filter. To eliminate the need for future digging, we added risers onto the tank. We poured back the concrete section of the sidewalk to complete the work.

When thinking about the location of your septic system, careful landscape planning is highly recommended. Otherwise, accessing your septic tank may cause disruptions and other problems in your yard.
